5. Effective Insulator – Closed-cell spray foam is an extremely effective insulator. It has an R-value of approximately 7 per square inch, which is the highest on the market. One of the reasons it is so effective at insulating is because, once it is sprayed, it expands and is able to cover all areas, including difficult to reach ones.
